Import prices of gasoline and diesel oil have increased by 11% and 9.5% respectively since year-star
The rise in the selling prices of gasoline and diesel oil on the home market stemmed exclusively from the increase in the oil prices on the international stock exchanges, say experts of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE).
According to ANRE, the average import price of diesel oil had increased by US$126 (11.1%) per tonne from May 1 to May 20, to US$ 1,170 – US$,260 per tonne, while the price of gasoline - by US$94 (9.5%), to US$1,062 – US$1.115 per tonne. According to Gheorghe Lupan, the head of the ANRE’s regulations and licensing division, the oil retailers will continue to offer discounts for the agricultural producers because they understand that the diesel oil is vital for the country’s agriculture. Lupan said that some companies give reductions of about 1 leu per liter of diesel oil to this category of consumers. In the evening of May 23, the prices of oil products were raised the fourth time this year. A liter of gasoline coded A95 now costs 14.81-14.84 lei, while of diesel oil – 15.30 – 15.35 lei. Under the national legislation, the retail and wholesale prices of oil products are fixed by the licensees working on the market in compliance with the methodology of calculating oil prices approved by ANRE in October 2007 // Reporter.MD Publication date: 23 May 2008 Source: Archive ADsRelated links- Gasoline and diesel oil prices reduced - Chisinau apartments grew dearer by 5-11% in July - Industrial prices increased 6% in first half of 2008 - Prices in construction increased about 20% during three months - Prices fell 1.1% in June - Prices of Chisinau apartments get stable - Rises in sugar prices are speculative, Economy Ministry - Pensioners protest against rising food prices in downtown Chisinau - Industrial prices went down 0.2% in April - Industrial production at 8.9bn lei in four months Latest news
