Poland will consider providing small grants to Transdniestria
Poland could offer small grants to the Transdniestrian region.
According to REPORTER.MD’s correspondent in Tiraspol, such a possibility was discussed by the consultant on economic matters of the Polish Embassy in Moldova Andjei Krasnodebski and the vice president of the Transdniestrian Chamber of Trade and Industry Iurii Ganin at a meeting. The interlocutors considered the possibility of including the Transdniestrian companies into Poland’s small grants programs aimed at developing the infrastructure of the settlements. According to Ganin, two projects to build water pipes in Popenchi and Zuzuleni villages are now being worked out. The projects could be financed from small grants. The Polish diplomat expressed readiness to examine the Transdniestrian projects and presented the list of documents needed to participate in the small grants program. The two officials also discussed details of the Polish businessmen’s visit to Transnistria set to take place at the end of the next month. The businessmen will represent Poland's agricultural sector, processing industry, construction sector and agritourism // Reporter.MD Publication date: 23 May 2008 Source: Archive ADsRelated links- Transdniestria’s debt for Russian gas is increasing - Moldova will not pay Transdniestria’s debt for Russian natural gas - Russia provided over US$14m in aid to Transdniestria in 2008 - Transdniestria puts forward its proposals for resuming movement along Chisinau-Odessa railway route - Transdniestria owes US$186.7 million to Moldova-Gaz for 2007 - Transdniestria’s exports totaled 3.44 billion lei in four months - Remittances to Transdniestria rose 40% in 2007 - Moldova intends to restore river fleet at the cost of investors, credits and grants - European Commission grants 6.6 million of euro for BOMMOLUK-2 project’s implementation - British working-immigrants figures flawed Latest news
