“The Moldovan wine products have gained broader access to the Russian market,” said Russia’s chief sanitary inspector Ghennady Onishchenko, quoted by the Russian press.
According to Interfax, since Russia lifted the ban on Moldovan wine imports, the Moldovan winemakers have exported 8.863 million liters of wine and more than 2.282 million liters of cognac to Russia.
Onishchenko said that 27 Moldovan wine companies were allowed to submit 763 samples of wine to Rospotrebnadzor for examination.
