Representatives of the companies Gazprom, Naftogaz Ucrainy, Beltransgaz, Intergaz Tsentralinaya Azia and Moldova-Gaz signed a protocol to promote a common policy to insure the quantity and quality of the imported and exported natural gas.
The document was signed at a meeting centering on scientific and technical cooperation in the area of metrology that was recently held in the Russian town of Volgograd.
The participants agreed to implement new intergovernmental standards on the measurement of gas consumption and quaintly at border gas measuring units.
The Russian gas giant Gazprom implements such standards at all the domestic gas measuring and gas distribution stations in a move to improve control over the exported gas//
