The letter signed by more than 50 people addressed to the Mayor of Balti Vasili Panciuk reads:„ For each microbus we spent daily up to 600 lei on petrol, for the driver’s salary and for the payment of taxes. Some routes were taken out of the main street of the town and directed on overland routes where there are no passengers.”

The owners of maxi-taxi threaten with a strike starting with next week if the authorities will not take measures vis-a-vis their request.

Asked by DECA-press Agency Lilia Gutul vice- mayor of Balti declared that the letter of maxi-taxi owners was examined at the sitting of a commission of specialty of the Municipal Council but they couldn’t get to common sense because the petitioners didn’t present the documents which would prove their expenses and their lack of profit.
