The World Bank is preparing a Report on implementation of the assistance strategy for Moldova in 2005-2008, which will be presented to the WB Board of Executive Directors next autumn, a World Bank delegation told Moldovan Parliament Chairman Marian Lupu.
The World Bank delegation included Shigeo Katsu, the World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia; Martin Reiser, the recently appointed new World Bank’s Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova; and Paul Bermingham, the former WB Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova.
The parties discussed also the draft of the World Bank’s 2009-2012 strategy of partnership with Moldova aimed primarily at promoting the country’s competitiveness and development of human resources.//
