Prices fell 1.1% in June
The average consumer prices this June decreased by 1.1% compared with May. This is for the first time this year that the rate of inflation went down. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the food prices fell by about 3.5%, while the non-food prices rose by 0.2%. The prices of services increased by 0.4%.
Fresh vegetables got cheaper by 26.4%, potatoes by 30%, fresh fruit by 7%, dietetic eggs by 8.5%, dairy products by 1.2%. At the same time, short-grain rice grew dearer by 30.4%, non-alcoholic drinks by 4%, sugar by 2%, vegetable oil by 1.1. Among non-food products, oil products got dearer by 1%, building materials by 0.9%, clothes by 0.5%. The water and sewerage charges were raised by 2%, while the urban transport fares by 1%. The January-June inflation was 6.2%.
