About 5,300 hectares of agricultural land and 473 hectares of private gardens have been affected by floods, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry has announced on August 8.

According to Agriculture Minister Anatolie Gorodenco, during the next days the Ministry will decide on the size of the humanitarian aid that will be distributed to the people that lost the harvest owing to floods. The authorities provided 24 tonnes of humanitarian aid consisting of flour, oil, sugar and other products for the purpose.

Gorodenco also said that during the past seven days, the Ministry has vaccinated 83 domestic animals against anthrax.//REPORTER.MD
