The State Company “Moldova’s Railway” on August 25 opened a new Giurgiulesti-Cahul-Giurgiulesti passenger and goods train route.

The first train set off from Giurgiulesti at 5.00 in the morning and arrived in Cahul at 7.15.

The distance between Giurgiulesti and Cahul is 50 km. The railway over this distance was built during 14 months and not 36 months as planed initially.

Officials of Moldova’s Railway have told REPORTER.MD that one train will work daily, while another one will work only on Saturdays and Sundays and on public holidays.//REPORTER.MD
