Giurgiulesti oil terminal's construction works completed
Danube Logistics Ltd, earlier known as Azertrans Ltd, has finished the basic construction works at the Giurgiulesti oil terminal [in the Republic of Moldova] and is to start arranging its territory.
According to the [Moldovan] Economics and Trade Ministry's public relations service, a competent commission has checked up the state of things at the Giurgiulesti terminal and positively appreciated the works' quality and plenitude. Thus, it is planned to officially celebrate the completion of the terminal's construction by end-October 2006. The terminal will include a wharf for oil tanks, eight containers to stock the oil products, which overall potential is 52,000 tons, a system for pumping oil products from ships into and from the containers, and a platform to load the fuel-transporting vehicles. The oil terminal has a hi-tech system to collect and filter residual waters, and waters containing oil, a transformation power plant; and an automatic fire preventing system. The compound also includes administrative buildings, laboratories and canteens. Except for the investments in construction works, significant sums were invested in environmental protection works so as to meet the European standards. The Danube Logistics Limited company's direct investments in the Giurgiulesti oil terminal's construction amounted to about 23 million dollars. // Moldpres Publication date: 04 October 2006 Source: Archive ADsRelated links- 'Falling oil prices are saving the world from Russia's ambitions,' Moscow analysts say - Lukoil Moldova still largest importer of oil products - Oil development in Kazakhstan underscores significance of Azerbaijan-Georgia transit corridor - Most of Moldovans travel by trolleybuses - Gasoline and diesel oil prices decreased the second time this month - Gas prices fall for 24th day, AAA says - Gasoline and diesel oil prices reduced - Moldova imports more oil products - Analysis: Austria’s OMV fails in hostile takeover battle against Hungary’s MOL - Imports of oil products rose 28.5% in first quarter Latest news
