Rabat (dpa) - Morocco's tourism income will grow by 20 per cent to 50 billion dirhams (4.5 billion euros or 5.9 billion dollars) this year, the Tourism Ministry said Monday.
The number of tourists increased by 15 per cent to more than 4 million. The figure does not include Moroccan emigrants visiting home.
Experts attributed the growth to an improved offer in sectors such as crafts and festivals, increase of flights to
Morocco and more active marketing in countries such as
Russia and
China.
