Moldovans who work in the Russian Federation performed 31,270 transfers through the Anelik money transfer system in the second half of December 2006, data from a report of the system show. The money wired through Anelik amounted to USD 63 mln.

According to independent estimations, the volume of remittances coming through the banking system is of USD 800-900 mln in 2006 and the total volume including unofficial transfers could amount to USD 1.2-1.3. // Info-Prim Neo Publication date: 19 January 2007 Source: Archive ADsRelated links- Holders of KFC and Pizza Hut franchises extend into Moldova - Growth of banking system reduced - Subway cops refuse $140M phone system Latest news
