The commercial bank VictoriaBank has the highest financial profitability indicator or return on equity (ROE) among the Moldovan banks – 33.84%. The second position is taken by Moldova Agroindbank with a ROE of 25.68%. The ranking list was drawn up by the rating and estimation agency Estimator-VM on the basis of the 2006 data posted by the commercial banks of Moldova.
VictoriaBank is also a leader according to bank effectiveness in Moldova. According to the press service of the bank, the gross income of VictoriaBank last year was about 343.3 million lei, while the net profit 106 million lei. The bank effectiveness rating was formulated on the basis of five indicators: total gain, net profit, ROE and rotation of assets. //
