Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery’s sales exceed half billion lei in 2006
The joint venture, Efes Vitanta Moldova Brewery registered net revenues of 559.9 million lei (43 million dollars), up by over 86.4 million lei or 12.2% against 2005, according to the company’s annual financial data.
Thus, Efes Vitanta obtained in 2006 net profit of 63.9 million lei, against 67.8 million lei, in 2005. The net profit at one ordinary share was of 44.1 lei. In the referring period, the issuer’s net assets totalled about 340.8 million lei, up by 26 million lei, against the previous year. Efes Vitanta paid its shareholders dividends amounting to over 34 milli9on lei, about 23.7 lei per share, almost the market price of one share – 25 lei. In 2006, the company had 3,180 shareholders. Efes Vitanta’s major shareholder is the group Efes Breweries International NV,which controls 96.5% of shares. Efes Vitanta covers about 70% of the beer market in Moldova, 48-50% of the market of soft drinks, and the company’s share on the mineral water market is estimated at 15%. Efes Breweries International NV purchased the Chisinau-based beer factory in 2002.
