Prices for crude oil, natural gas, heating oil and gasoline all opened lower Tuesday on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
The price for a barrel of crude oil was $95.79 per barrel, off $1.95 in morning trading. Oil closed at $97.70 a barrel Monday.
Home heating oil was down 0.0326 cents to $2.674 per gallon. Gasoline dipped 0.0304 cents to $2.411 per gallon while natural gas fell 0.102 to $7.621 per 1,000 cubic feet.
At the pump, the average price for a dollar of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.091 Tuesday, up from the $3.085 average on Monday, the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report said.
