The meat of 20 pigs, which were butchered in a non-authorized abattoir from the district of Falesti, was confiscated on the way to the markets from Chisinau
Three tons of pork without permission documents was confiscated on Thursday evening in the district of Floresti by the representatives of the Regional Department of Fraud Investigation from Balti. The production had to be commercialized at the markets from Chisinau, DECA-press transmits.
“The quantity of pork belonged to an individual enterprise from the village of Domulgeni, district of Floresti. In this locality, a non-authorized abattoir was discovered, where animals purchased from villagers were butchered. It is worth mentioning that the offenders obtained from the mayoralty of the village illegal documents which proved that they raised animals”, Constantin Panzari, chief of the Regional Department of Fraud Investigation, Balti, declared for DECA-press. Asked by DECA-press, the mayor of the village of Domulgeni, Vasile Patrascu, rejects the accusations that the mayoralty had issued illegally documents which certify that the offenders raised animals. „When we wrote everything in the documents, there were 15 pigs in the household of these villagers”, the mayor Vasile Patrascu specified. According to the police, the driver of the minibus which transported the meat risks to pay a fine of 86 thousand lei. // DECA-Press Publication date: 24 December 2007 Source: Archive ADsRelated links- Moldova produces goods that are not competitive on foreign markets, say experts - The people owning small enterprises will picket the parliament because the law of patent abolition aims at closing the markets in Moldova - Regulator seeks to make markets safer - Citigroup lowers 3Q expectations - Tokyo stocks open with little change - Markets stand by for first Symrise trades after stock flotation Latest news
