During the last weekend Termocom resumed the hot water supply in Chisinau. For technical reasons hot water is not supplied to 23 apartments, connected to the central system.

Termocom Technical Director Vladimir Babici remarked at a working sitting in the Mayor’s office on Monday that because of the hot water supply, Termocom had to decrease the temperature of thermal agents.

“This night the air temperature constituted 10 degrees below zero, under such conditions the outlet temperature of the thermal agent must constitute 88 degrees, and we decreased these parameters to 74 degrees in order to provide Chisinau citizens with heating and hot water. We should not provide a higher temperature as Moldovagas reduced its gas supply by 20%”, he said.

Babici remarked that such situation will continue until Termocom will be able to repay all the debts to the gas supplier and, if the present tariff, which is equal to 233 lei/Gcal, is applied, it will not be very soon.

“Termocom’s debts to Moldovagas constitutes 100 million lei and if tariff of 233 lei/Gcal, is applied for the population and 540 lei/Gcal for economic entities, the enterprise covers only a half of its expenditures for acquiring thermal energy”, Babici remarked. // Infotag
