Moldova and Cyprus to sign agreement on double taxation avoidance
At the beginning of 2008 Moldova and Cyprus will sign an agreement on double taxation avoidance and evasion of profit and capital taxation.
According to press service of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Minister Igor Dodon will sign these agreements, when he will pay a visit to Cyprus on January 28-30 on the invitation of Cyprus Minister of Industry and Tourism Antonis Michaelides. As Infotag has already reported, in September the Cyprus Minister visited Chisinau and signed inter-governmental agreements on protecting investments and cooperation in the field of culture and tourism. According to the ministry, in January-June the trade turnover constituted 830.6 thousand - 2.5 times more against the same period of 2006. The exports of Moldovan goods constituted USD49.3 thousand, mainly – wines. Moldovan imports from Cyprus constituted USD781.3 thousand (2.6 times more).
