Wine product exports to CIS grew by 35% and in EU, by over 14%
Wine product exports to CIS countries, except Russia, grew by 35%, and to the EU member states, by over 14% in ten months this year, show data of Moldova Vin Agro-industrial Agency.
According to the Agency, the vine and wine companies made everything to enhance exports on other markets, thus reducing the negative impact caused by the total embargo imposed by the Russian Federation. Exports to CIS countries, which are further the main market outside, have reached 82 mln 718 thousand USD compared with 60 mln 652 thousand USD in the same period last year. The biggest exports were carried out to Ukraine (37.29 mln USD), Belarus (27.55 mln USD) and Kazakhstan (14.31 mln USD). Exports to EU grew by 2 mln 23 thousand USD. Poland is on the first place with 4.4 mln USD, followed by the Czech Republic with 1.67 mln USD and Germany with about 1.39 mln USD. At the same time, Moldova Vin says that after Romania and Bulgaria joined the EU and community requirements were applied to wine exports from Moldova, the supplies to these countries have significantly reduced in Romania by 13.9 mln USD and 1.16 mln USD in Bulgaria. Exports to other countries than CIS and EU grew by 11% and totalled 2.23 mln USD. The biggest quantity of wine has been exported to the USA, Israel and Japan.
