Nearly three thousand small entrepreneurs from Balti town and two neighbouring districts organized on Thursday a meeting of protest, where they asked the authorities to institute a moratorium on the Law of brevets (208), issuing some social requirements at the level of locality too, DECA-press Agency transmits.
The social requirements focused on sopping the growth of taxes to conveniences and the limitation of the activity of electronic casinos in the locality.
Today's action of protest was permitted by the Balti autohorities. The brevet owners will protest according to the authorization until January 27th, includingly. Before that, the entrepreneurs from Balti organized a strike and stopped their activity at the trade markets from the town.
The municipal councillor Serghei Banari, one of the organizers of the action of protest, said for DECA-press that the protestors decided to achieve their goal anyway. Otherwise, small entrepreneurs will continue protesting and will not resume their activity at the markets.
On the other hand, the deputy-minister of Economy and Commerce, Viorel Melnic, who came to Balti to negotiate with the protestors, declared for DECA-press that there all the premises for the entrepreneurs to create individual enterprises. Melnic considers that the brevet owners' requirements are motivated by the fact that „nobody wants to change anything”. The law cannot be modified because Moldova must fulfil the conditions of adjusting the Moldovan legislation to the European one. The problem is that many brevet owners are not informed and do not know about the fact that the Gogvernment had already taken some measures. It cancelled the obligatory character of the cash point for individual enterprises.
According to some information, the brevet owners' colleague from nearly five districts from the North of the country will join them.
At the end of the last year, 2,3 thousand small entrepreneurs working on the basis of brevets worked in Balti. // DECA-Press
