Termocom Company requiring procedure of new tariff approval for thermal energy to be urged
The thermal energy provider Termocom Company is requiring the procedure of new tariff approval to be urged. Following the expenses the provider had to suffer, the 2008 tariff could reach up to nine hundred lei for a Gigacalorie, Termocom Company Commercial Director Mihai Arusoi said at the operative Monday sitting of the city hall.
In line with the repeal of the decision of January 25, 2007 regarding the approval of the tariff for the thermal energy, the company suffered expenses, of about 70 million lei, in December, and of about 100 million lei, in January 2008, according to Arusoi. “We will have to include these losses into the tariff for 2008, which can reach up to one thousand lei for a Gigacalorie. In such a way, we are requiring Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) to urge the examination process of the new tariff. Every new day leads to increasing the tariff even more”, Arusoi said. Termocom representatives do not have the right of settling the new tariff as long as they made no necessary calculi, Chisinau Deputy Mayor Vlad Coteţ. “The commission cannot urge the examination process of the new tariff, until the company presents the report of all the expenses registered in 2007. Finally, CMC will settle a real tariff”, Coteţ said. On January 25, 2007, the former counselors decided to increase the tariff for the thermal energy from 233 lei to 540 lei/a Gkal. The tariff for the household consumers was to stay the same, the tariff difference being compensated from the local budget. But the new CMC repealed this decision, on December 4, 2007, and returned to the old tariff. // BASA-Press Publication date: 29 January 2008 Source: Archive ADsRelated links- Special fund to support energy complex - Moldova could become member of European Energy Community - Termocom calls upon Chisinau authorities for increasing heating tariffs - Analysis: Austria’s OMV utilizing and sabotaging the EU at the same time - Termocom won process initiated against Municipal Council of Chisinau - Termocom resumes hot water supply - Termocom resumes hot water supply - EnergySolutions, Exelon in Zion cleanup - Morocco seeks to make energy sweeter - Google branching into green energy Latest news
