The protests of small entrepreneurs from Balti damaged the „Association of Markets” with over a quarter of a million lei
The interruption of the activity of entrepreneurs from Balti for six days caused the „Association of Markets” from the locality material damage of over 250 thousand lei. In the period of the strike and protests, the Association gathered taxes for stands of nearly ten thousand lei, DECA-press transmits.
A statement in this context has been launched by the vice-director of the Association of Markets from Balti, Serghei Vitiuk. According to him, the local and state budgets have been damaged because of this crisis. At the same time, the mayor of Balti, Vasile Panciuk, mentioned on Monday, in time of a press conference, that, as a result of the interruption of the activity of markets, the entrepreneurs who protested have suffered great damage, while the amount of sales at whole sale at the storage houses and at the trade centres doubled in this period. „Entrepreneurs protested against the introduction of cash points, but with the money they have lost, they could have bought cash points for entrepreneurs from the whole country”, the mayor also said. In the period of January 22nd -27th, the six markets from the locality, administered by the municipal enterprise „Association of Markets from Balti” stopped their activity. For two days, the entrepreneurs organized a strike. After that, for four days, they participated at authorized actions of protest. Approximately 2,5 thousand people protested against the Law of brevets. They asked to stop the growth of tariffs for the conveniences and limit the activity of electronic casinos.
