The average salary per economy in December 2007 amounted to 2,630 lei, up by 296 lei compared with the previous month, the National Bureau for Statistics (BNS) informed on Tuesday, January 29.
The budgetary employees earned on average 1,832 lei in December 2007, by 40 lei more compared with the previous month, while those working in the private sector earned by 586 lei more up to 3,054 lei.
BNS also specifies that in the last month of 2007 the biggest average salary of 7,632 lei was earned by the employees of financial institutions, and the lowest of 1,528 lei was earned in education. Farmers earned on average 1,921 lei, employees of electricity, gas, and water companies earned by 4,549 lei, while health and social assistance employees earned 2,279 lei.
The BNS’s informative bulletin also shows that the average monthly salary per economy in 2007 was of 2,063 lei. In the budgetary sector this indicator was of 1,625 lei, and in the private sector, 2,292 lei.
In 2006 budgetary employees earned an average monthly salary of 1,440 lei, while those in the private sector earned 1,831 lei. //
